The anti-vaxx movement is a strange one that started up in recent years.
People are choosing to not vaccinate their children from preventable disease in the thought that vaccinations are the cause of other health problems.
While there isn’t much scientific research to back it up, the trend has been catching steam thanks to the internet.
And in the midst of all this, one anti-vaxx mother out there has looked to the internets advice on how to protect her three year old from the measles outbreak.
In the midst of a public health emergency in Washington state, in an area with a higher-than-average percentage of vaccine exemptions (what a coincidence!), one anti-vaxx mom has looked for advice on how to protect her 3-year-old from the measles outbreak.
This mother wrote in a group called Vaccine Education Network: Natural Health Anti-Vaxx Community, saying “My 3-year-old is not vaccinated and there is currently a measles outbreak in my state, Any suggestions for precautions I can take to protect her would be very much appreciated.”
Now if only there are an age old, tried and tested way in which you can protect the vast population from infectious diseases.
Wouldn’t that be something.
Maybe even some kind of method that has already lead to measles being declared eliminated in the United States before?
This amazing accomplishment of eradicating a disease from the human populace is being sadly threatened by the rise recently in unvaccinated children.
Which is why this “Anit-Vaxx” movement has to be talked about, for the good our public health.
As you may have suspected, this mother didn’t exactly get the response she was looking for.
But oh boy, did she get a response.
The post was shared far and wide across the facebook platform.
Some of the suggestions ranges from down right hilarious, to down right dark and morbid.
But honestly, if people refuse to listen to reason and look at the data and evidence, what more can you do?
Continue to scroll through the darkly humorous responses, your fellow people of the internet gave to this anti vaxx mom.
What do you think of all the responses to this mother’s question?
