20 Wholesome and Hilarious Paul Rudd Tweets And Memes

Paul Rudd has had my heart since he appeared in the cult classic Clueless. He’s kept us laughing through the years in other hits like The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Anchorman.

Most recently he joined the Marvel family, starring as Ant-Man. His career spans many years and he’s picked up a lot of fans along the way.

Not just because he’s a great actor; he’s also a wholesome all-around good guy – who hasn’t aged a day since we first set eyes on him!

The good-looking actor was born on April 6, 1969 – that means he is 50 years old and doesn’t look like it at all! He is married to Julie Yaeger and the couple have two children, Jack and Darby.

Paul Rudd’s real name is Paul Stephen Rudnitzky. He is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer – basically, he’s good at everything (including good at never aging).

After studying theater at the University of Kansas and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he made his official acting debut in NBC’s drama series Sisters in 1992.

Although, most of us remember seeing him for the first time in Clueless. Speaking of Clueless, Rudd beat out actors Ben Affleck and Zach Braff for the part!

Fun fact: his parents are second cousins. This is something Paul didn’t discover until he was in a 2017 episode of Finding Your Roots. He responded with the humor we all know and love him for – “Which explains why I have six nipples.”

He went on to question what this bizarre news meant for the rest of the family “Does this make my son also my uncle?,” he asked.

The talented Hollywood star was born in Passaic, New Jersey, although both of his (related) parents come from London.

His parents were both descendants of Jewish immigrants who moved to England from Russia and Poland. That’s where his last name Rudnitzky comes from, although his grandfather changed it to Rudd.

Growing up, Paul loved comic books and while he read his fair share of Marvel Comics, he especially liked Archie Comics and other funny stories. His cousins from England would send him other funny comics as well, like Beano and Dandy.

While many people idolize Paul Rudd, he’s got idols of his own. In a 2008 interview, he revealed that his role model was Paul Newman while discussing his role as actor and producer in the movie Role Models. His admiration for the late actor comes from the fact he gave a lot to the world before leaving it.

Speaking of Role Models, this was the first film that Rudd played the lead actor in. It was also the first film that he co-wrote – he described the experience as “enriching and fun and personal.”

Before he was Ant-Man, Paul Rudd dreamed of becoming Adam Ant. He revealed this fact about himself in an interview with Grantland.

“Puberty hit me like a Mack truck, and my hair went from straight to curly overnight,” Rudd explained. “But it was an easier pill to swallow because Adam Ant had curly hair. I used to ask my mom to try and shave my head on the sides to give me a receding hairline because Adam Ant had one. I didn’t know what a receding hairline was. I just thought he looked cool. She said, ‘Absolutely not,’ but I was used to that.”

Need even more reason to love Paul Rudd? He’s never taken on a role that he didn’t feel passionate about to simply further his career, although many other actors go that route. His rule of thumb is to only star in films that he’d be interested in seeing.

“Anybody that’s going on a road trip and doesn’t really want to get into a myriad of snacks is probably no one you want to get in the car with.”—Paul Rudd
