Virginity is a sensitive topic, but it is essentially necessary to discuss.
Especially in today’s young generation, as a parent, it is very important to impart our knowledge and educate our kids to the reality of this matter.
However, some parents have different views of this concept. Some would believe that virginity must be discussed and explained, while there are special some who simply believe that Virginity is just a concept.
One parent went viral on Tiktok as she shared her stand about not discussing the topic of virginity with her daughters.
This TikTok creator who is a mum of five daughters says she is raising them to believe there is no such thing as virginity.
If she could convince her daughters and stop them from knowing the truth, then real hands down to her.
TikTok creator Cayce LaCorte, whose account name is book_mama on TikTok, believes that virginity is a patriarchal concept used to control women. In her video, she believes that virginity is just something to make women feel bad about themselves.
Moreover, In her recent video, which reached more than two million views online, she strongly believes that the idea of virginity definitely serves no purpose other than just making a woman feel bad about herself.
In her video, she said
“Just because some guy randomly sticks his penis in you at some point in your life does not change your worth, it does not change who you are, it doesn’t do anything other than it happened”…
Many more comments on the video were full of support to her beliefs saying that virginity is a concept that is left alone for a child to decide whenever they feel ready enough for themselves.
Reply to @awildfemale I hope this helps in trying to explain these tough topics to you kids. #virginityisamyth
In her succeeding videos, she talked about how to start teaching concepts like this to kids when they are still young. She mentioned how she approached her daughters in teaching them when her daughters feel like it is the right time’ is when they can have comfortable conversations with their partners about sex, protection, and consent.
She further explained that “When you can have an adult conversation with your partner about sex, when you can talk about protection, talk about past partners, consent, anything that makes you uncomfortable, what you’re into, what you’re not into. And if you’re like ‘I can’t talk about that!’ then you’re not ready.”
With such attention that her post has garnered towards social media, Cayce who is also a writer is currently planning to write her own book about Parenthood. We could all agree that due to this fame, it would surely have many waiting fans.
